Scott Humphries
Scott is an open-source contributor and freelance consultant who is currently consumed by the fantastic, exciting, and fast-moving world of Modern JavaScript™ and all things data: interaction, analysis, modeling, and visualization.
For more than 10 years, he has worked as a general technologist, and (since he’s from Nashville), naturally also as a musician. Originally focused on back-end operations, he primarily worked with small businesses and local schools in implementing back-office software solutions such as Exchange, Access, and SQL server, planning and improving infrastructure, training, and providing input on curriculum. Later, while receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Economics, he transitioned his practice offering application development, analytics, A/B testing, sales funnel optimization, and actuarial data science services.
Today, aside from teaching, he specializes in architecting technical solutions to help launch or grow companies through process automation, statistical techniques, and web development.

Andy Wilkerson
As President of Parallelus, Inc., Andy is an idea generator, designer and thinks he’s even a programmer. He spends his days finding ways to make things take longer by applying intense focus on the minutest of details. He loves his job- a bit too much- and watches Doctor Who on Netflix when he tells people he’s working. When he’s not spending days and nights in front of his computer, you can find him entertaining his daughters or playing soccer.
Nile Flores
Nile Flores is a sassy Southern Illinois mom who is a WordPress designer and developer, as well as a professional blogger. She’s dedicated herself to building WordPress websites that convert. She’s been a user since the b2 cafelog days and loves to help others. She does so through her own website Blondish.net and through her 7K+ WordPress community on Facebook, All About WordPress.
Nile is also a proud member of Team Yoast, as part of their support team. In recent news, she also received a Community Choice award in the Expert category at the 2014 Small Business Influencer Awards hosted by Small Biz Trends.
Josiah Goff
Josiah’s been making things with WordPress since 2009 when he started building a theme from scratch after binge-watching a few hours of Chris Coyier’s tutorials. A couple hundred thousand Stack Overflow searches later, he’s now a developer at Jetty, where he helps lead a small team that’s crazy (or genius?) enough to build an enterprise application on top of WordPress. When he’s not glued to his computer screen, you’ll likely find Josiah disc golfing, foosballing, photographing, coffee shop hopping, or hanging out with his awesome wife, Amy.
Corey Maass
Corey Maass is a Nashville-based web developer, who’s been building web sites since 1996. In the last five years he’s specialized in web apps and WordPress, often combining the two.
Joe Hills
Joe Hills has been coding since QBasic was cool…and he moved on to PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS once it wasn’t.
Hills has worked closely with academics and professionals for almost a decade to create bespoke content management systems and tailored WordPress solutions.
He’s here today because WordCamps attract cool people, and he can’t wait to meet all of you.
Bryan Belanger
Bryan works at Snapshot Interactive as a Senior User Experience Designer and a Front-End Developer. He’s been designing and developing websites and applications for over 8 years. When he’s not tinkering with things for the web, he can be found adventuring around Nashville with friends, or finding an excuse to travel and snowboard on a new mountain. Mark Tune is a serial entrepreneur that has successfully created and sold multiple businesses for himself and others. He runs the local meetup, Nashville Online Entrepreneurs at http://www.nashvillemeetups.com, for entrepreneurs and business owners interested in building their online presence.
Mark operates several ecommerce businesses and the IncomeNation.com, a developing website to teach entrepreneurs and small businesses how to monetize their platform.
Robin Cornett
Robin is a WordPress developer who started working with WordPress when she needed a website for her photography business. Over the past several years, her work has transitioned fully to development, both custom client work and plugins available on the WordPress plugin repository. Robin and her husband live near Chattanooga, Tennessee, with their three children and tiny but surprisingly rugged dog.
Matt Thackston
Matt Thackston manages integrations and partnerships at Emma, Inc., where he’s worked for the past eight years. His passions include Coen Brothers movies, well-made cocktails, UNC basketball and helping customers unite their data to promote growth in their businesses.
Cindy Cullen
Cindy bought her first computer (a vic-20) in 1983. She has degrees from NSTI and APSU in computers and has worked for companies such as GE, The American Chemical Society and Iostudio, LLC. She has taught computers to both kids and adults in high school and college, as well as at homeschool co-ops and online. She built her first website in 1999 and started her own free-lance web development business in 2003. She began using WordPress shortly after it was introduced in 2003 and began using it almost exclusively in 2012.
Kristina Johnson Parish
After studying fine art and furniture design in St. Louis, Kristina moved to Boston in 1999 to focus on the underground music scene, touring with bands and devoting her life to playing guitar and writing songs. Building websites began as a hobby, and evolved into both a passion and career. Kristina is a graduate of the Graphic Design program at Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she learned to join her loves of design and structure. She relocated to Nashville in the summer of 2014 with her husband, newborn son, and the most clever of cats. She is currently a UX Designer at Athletics where she collaborates with members of the design and technology team to build beautiful web experiences for a range of exciting brands.
James Laws
In any business someone needs to steer the ship. As the Co-founder and CEO this is what James does for the WP Ninjas with great joy. Having co-created the increasingly popular Ninja Forms and the first of it’s kind Ninja Demo WordPress plugins, he is always looking for the next innovation or market where the ninjas can have the greatest impact.
With over 14 years of experience in web design and development, internet marketing, business management, and public speaking, James has had his hands in every aspect of running successful and not so successful businesses. He has led everything from churches and charities to coffee shops and Web Development Shops.
Michael Toppa
Mike Toppa has been coding for the web since the days of HTML 1.0, and he caught the WordPress bug when he wrote his first plugin in 2007. He’s currently a Software Engineer for PromptWorks in Philadelphia, and previously he was the Director of Development for WebDevStudios. Mike’s also worked at U Penn, Stanford, Georgetown, Ask Jeeves, and E-Trade. Outside of work you will most likely find Mike embroiled in a Nerf gun battle with his two young boys.
Taylor Lovett
Taylor Lovett is the Director of Engineering at 10up, one of the biggest WordPress centric agencies in the world. Having been involved with WordPress since 2007, he has contributed to WordPress core, authored popular plugins (downloaded hundreds of thousands of times), ND spoken at many conferences across multiple continents. He is a lover of all things open-source. Other than developing web applications, Taylor is a lover of music. He enjoys listening to blues and jazz music as well as playing acoustic fingerstyle guitar.
Michele Butcher
Michele is the lead WordPress Specialist at WP Security Lock cleaning hacked websites and teaching the masses how to stay secure in the WordPress world. She is also the head geek at Can’t Speak Geek. When at WordCamps you can find her talking and tweeting the awesomeness of InMotion Hosting while typically playing with one of their cool USB slap bracelets. Michele is also the lead organizer of the Southern Illinois WordPress Meetup and teaches beginners and Intermediate WordPress for John A Logan College.
James Ellis
Both a designer and developer, James’ focus is on the intersection of design and technology, and solving the problems of contemporary brand-building using the web and digital media. Upon locating to New York in 2002, he joined Olive, a branding and interactive firm, working as a designer and developer on projects for clients such as AMC, Crunch Fitness, HBO, Disney and Comedy Central. Since founding Athletics, James has led a number of the studio’s digital projects with Forbes, Condé Nast, The New York Times, Thought Catalog, Merriam-Webster and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. James also acts as lead technology advisor for all relevant Athletics projects.
