Both a designer and developer, James’ focus is on the intersection of design and technology, and solving the problems of contemporary brand-building using the web and digital media. Upon locating to New York in 2002, he joined Olive, a branding and interactive firm, working as a designer and developer on projects for clients such as AMC, Crunch Fitness, HBO, Disney and Comedy Central. Since founding Athletics, James has led a number of the studio’s digital projects with Forbes, Condé Nast, The New York Times, Thought Catalog, Merriam-Webster and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. James also acts as lead technology advisor for all relevant Athletics projects.
